NobleOak's bushfire relief fundraiding
NobleOak joined in with not only Australia but the worlds efforts in raising money for the Australian bushfire victims. The bushfires have devastated the country over the past few months leaving many without a home. Houses have been destroyed and hectares of forest lands have burned, animals and humans alike have suffered at the hands of the catastrophic conditions.
To help the efforts of the NSW Rural Fire Service and WIRES we held a raffle and auctioned off lunch with our CEO, Anthony Brown, in a bid to raise funds. Both were a big success and resulted in a split of the total between the two charities.
A lot of communities are still struggling from the effects of the fires and there are some things we can all do to help.
Holidaying in Australia has been highlighted as one of the best things we can do to aid bushfire recovery, tourism is a huge part of our economy and more than 660,000 people depend on it for their livelihoods according to Australia.com. Spending our well-earned holiday money in the affected communities can really make an impact to recovery rebuilding.
We all live in a beautiful country and sometimes its easy to forget to explore what is on your own doorstep.
